Hi, I’m Hillary Wen.

I’m family to the most extraordinary human beings who have taught and given me everything I could possibly dream of. Even if my life ended today from too much espresso, I would die grateful, mesmerized and intoxicated by all that is life.

I know that my time won’t last forever, so much of my work goes to bringing certain concepts to life. Here you will find pieces of those observations, ideas, and theories. Other than that, here’s a little summary of what I’m currently up to.

Organizational Architecture

I specialize in organizational architecture and strategic alignment. In 2017, I developed The Triple Alignment Model, an organizational model that helps leaders measure alignment between their organization’s vision, mission, goals, and values. It extends Simon Sinek’s “Start With Why” to the how, what, where, and who, producing an entire equation. This model as been the foundation of my consulting work with leaders from local startups to Fortune 100 companies.

When Toys Age

I believe that everything we do is an extension of our vision for the world. In 2017, I founded When Toys Age, an independent research and design group dedicated to impact-driven projects. All our projects are inspired by your big internal questions in life and the change you wish to see in the world. Some wonderful “labors of love” have come out of our little incubator, like The Equilibrium Journal.
